For the past twenty-five years, Joni McLaughlin has been striving to meet the needs of diverse learners within a student-centered collaborative approach as a teacher, academic advisor, and most recently as a public school liaison at Landmark School. Within her many roles, Joni has used her eloquent, professional communication skills to navigate the path for helping students obtain the support and services they need. Joni was awarded the Paul Douglas Teacher Scholarship and pursued her aspiration to become a teacher at Framingham State University. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, Joni’s passion for working with students with language-based learning disabilities prompted her to earn a Master of Special Education from Simmons University.

“I feel like all of my past experiences in education serve as the foundation for being a compassionate, knowledgeable educational advocate whose focus will always center on the needs and aspirations of the student.” stated Joni.

Joni lives in Saugus with her husband and three children. Having had a child with a significant medical challenge, Joni understands the dynamics of supporting a child through challenges while maintaining engagement in academics and continuing personal growth with resilience and a positive mindset.
