Michelle is a dedicated and compassionate professional with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Communication from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her diverse career includes guiding newly diagnosed patients with Autism in accessing critical healthcare resources, coordinating care plans for Medicaid beneficiaries with complex needs in New Hampshire, and advocating for students and families as a middle school guidance counselor in Massachusetts. Deeply committed to advocacy, Michelle has been actively involved in community organizations, including serving on the Family Advisory Board for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the Board of Directors for PathWays of the River Valley Developmental Disability Community Agency. She has also extended her advocacy efforts to the national level, meeting with lawmakers on Capitol Hill to advocate for increased funding for pediatric residency programs and children’s Medicaid.
Michelle understands firsthand the experience of caring for and advocating for a medically complex child. As a mother of two, including a child who is DeafBlind, she has navigated the challenges and triumphs that come with ensuring access to education and community involvement. Drawing from her personal journey, Michelle offers a strategic and empathetic approach to educational advocacy, providing families with the comprehensive support and guidance they need to succeed.
Michelle lives in New Hampshire with her family, where she continues to make a positive impact in her community and beyond.
