Kevin Roberts brings a wealth of experience and educational background to his roles in the educational sector, particularly in special education and language arts. Having completed his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at Gordon College in Wenham, MA, in May 2000, Kevin’s passion for education propelled him to further his studies abroad. He participated in the University of Pittsburgh’s Semester-at-Sea Program, where he gained global perspectives by traveling to countries including Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Israel, Turkey, Italy, and Morocco.
Kevin achieved his Master of Education in Literature, Literacy, and Drama from the University of Sydney, Australia, in September 2003, followed by a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Special Education from Simmons College, Boston, MA, in May 2008. His academic achievements are complemented by his professional academic licensure in English (grades 5-12) and as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (grades 5-12) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Since 2005, Kevin has been an integral part of the faculty at Landmark High School in Prides Crossing, MA, where he currently serves as a Guidance Counselor and a Language Arts Instructor. In his role as a Guidance Counselor since 2021, Kevin manages a caseload of 75-100 students across all grades, advising them on post-secondary pursuits and collaborating with parents to support outgoing seniors. As a Language Arts Instructor, he specializes in teaching grammar, writing, and reading comprehension to students with Language-Based Learning Disabilities, developing curriculum and units that engage students across all levels and advising them on current social issues.
In addition to his roles at Landmark High School, Kevin has been a Landmark Outreach Instructor since 2020, where he facilitates graduate courses in Written Expression through Colorado State-Pueblo and Southern New Hampshire University. He manages course instruction on the Canvas and Brightspace platforms, providing valuable feedback, guidance, and grading to teachers seeking professional development.
Kevin Roberts’ dedication to education, combined with his extensive travel and study experiences, have equipped him with a unique perspective and deep understanding of the diverse needs of students, making him a valued educator and mentor. Kevin joins Kid CenterEd to provide educational and literacy evaluations and perform progress monitoring.
