Company Description:
Kid CenterEd was born out of a desire to serve the whole child with an integrated team and a
holistic approach. While each of our practitioners has many years of experience with other
practices and on their own, we’ve come together to provide a broader base of support for
students and their families to better help them navigate both private and public educational
systems right up through college and adulthood.
We are seeking a severe-endorsed special educator who is skilled in conducting comprehensive
academic evaluations to formulate academic interventions and educational programming and to
measure progress.
The candidate will be skilled in collaborating with families to help them understand their
children’s educational needs. KidCentered is a multidisciplinary environment comprised of
neuropsychologists, special educators, and consultants who all work collaboratively to provide
integrated services to families, best serving their needs. Along with academic evaluations, the
candidate will also perform program observations in public and private special education
schools, and write reports that analyze the components of the program, identifying strengths
and weaknesses and formulating recommendations for appropriate programming based on the
student’s neurocognitive and academic profile. The ideal candidate will have a deep
understanding of special education, highly complex learners, assessments, evaluations, and
excellent analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement evaluation frameworks and assessment protocols to develop
criteria for effective educational programs, curriculum, and instructional strategies. (This
can be undertaken as a collaborative process with other providers at KidCenterED).
• Conduct on-site visits to schools, classrooms, and educational institutions to observe
teaching practices, collect data, and assess program implementation.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data collected through surveys, interviews,
observations, and student performance assessments.
• Interpret assessment data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement, and
prepare detailed reports that present findings and recommendations in a clear, concise
manner.
• Present your findings to IEP teams and school districts.
• Provide guidance and support to families in interpreting assessment results and using
data to inform instructional decision-making.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and developments in the field of
special education evaluation.
• Contribute to developing assessment protocols using standardized, curriculum-based,
and informal data that monitor a student’s progress.
• Present evaluation findings and recommendations to parents, districts, and IEP teams.
