School observations offer an essential opportunity to see how a child functions “in the moment” in the classroom and gain a picture of their day-to-day experience. Observations can provide critical information about how successfully they are accessing educational instruction, relating to their peers, and functioning across the school day.
The Kid CenterED team has particular expertise in evaluating educational programming and curriculum and determining what accommodations, supports, and interventions are needed to help a child succeed. Observations can be conducted in coordination with other assessments to help determine appropriate educational services and placements. However, they can also be performed separately, depending upon the circumstances and referral concern. An in-depth consultation is always held before the observation to determine what aspects of the child’s school day need to be observed.
Kid CenterED team has expertise in language-based, therapeutic, autism programming, general education, and special education programming.
