Evaluating emotional and social aspects of your child’s functioning are crucial components of all neuropsychological assessments. How children feel, cope with their emotions, regulate their behavior, overcome challenges, and relate to their peers are essential to how they function in school, home, and the community.
Sometimes an evaluation solely focusing on the social and emotional dimensions of a child’s presentation is undertaken. This may include evaluation of a student’s social skills, coping mechanisms, ability to regulate his/her emotions and behavior, mood, and personality.
Dr. Miles-Mason will conduct an in depth consultation with you to determine if a targeted psychological evaluation is appropriate to help answer your diagnostic questions and provide you with a plan to pursue needed services and interventions to support your child.
