Consultation and Ongoing Care
Kid CenterEd offers consultation to families for a variety of reasons. Families can have a wide range of questions about their children’s development and needs:
Do they need an evaluation?
Are they making progress in school?
Does their IEP give them appropriate services and support?
Do they need more than they need more help than they are currently receiving at home or in school?
My child seems to be having difficulty but should I be concerned? Is this just typical for his/her age?
Parents are often unsure as to whether they need a neuropsychological evaluation, what it actually involves, or if another assessment would be more appropriate. Kid CenterEd often consults with families to determine what evaluations would best support their student in their academic careers.
In addition, children and adolescents go through a remarkable amount of change over time. Dr. Miles-Mason greatly enjoys working with families as their children age, supporting their develop and watching them progress. She often consults with families on an ongoing basis to determine if they are getting appropriate support, whether additional intervention or services are needed, and if further evaluation may be helpful.
