We offer assessment of academic skills in all foundational areas, including reading, writing, and mathematics. These can be performed as part of a neuropsychological evaluation or as a stand alone assessment if this appears appropriate. These assessments are often performed to measure progress when students are receiving educational intervention or services and to track academic progress. They can also help to identify learning disabilities such as Dyslexia, Disorder of Written Expression (sometimes referred to as Dysgraphia), and Mathematics Disorder (sometimes referred to as Dyscalculia). In some cases, additional cognitive testing is required to help make a learning disability diagnosis. We conduct an in-depth consultation with each family to customize evaluations and make sure that the assessment addresses all the questions you have about your child’s needs and can help you make educational planning decisions.
